Phases — Intent
Alfonso Elola
Phases, Intent explores the shifting nature of human personality through three portraits representing ambition, quiet confidence, and calculated betrayal. Their expressions form the heart of the piece, revealing how desire, composure, and concealed intent can coexist beneath the same human nature. Organic forms of flesh, petals, and branches surround the faces, suggesting transformation and the layers of identity we choose to reveal or hide. Light and shadow obscure secondary features, creating a tension between outward serenity and what lies beneath.
